With you involved from the very start, we will handle the overall design and space planning which includes the coordination of furniture, drapery & window treatments, lighting, rugs & flooring, wall coverings, accessories and art. Our store has an outstanding collection of unique home accessories, original art pieces, tables, chairs, lamps and more – many that you can see online.
There is a lot more that goes into every room design than most people realize. We will handle every detail of the “what” and “where” of each piece of furniture, the lamps & accessories and the colors of walls, trim, rugs, wall coverings, etc., as well as other elements such as...
- having our vendors know if your piece is going to sit on hardwood or carpet (e.g. what might need special leg pads)
- making sure the skirts of custom sofas and chairs are fitted exactly to carpet height
- changing out unsightly return air vents to make sure they work in your new room
- paying attention to the scale of a room to ensure the items being made or purchased will not be dwarfed by the room’s elements
- using the right surfaces together – for example, not using too many glass tops in the same area and not using too many similar shapes in the same area
- using fabrics appropriate in durability to wear and tear and to the light sources of the room
- ensuring draperies are constructed properly with suitable fabrics, linings and interlinings to avoid drooping, warping and fading

We will work within your reasonable budget to provide the interior design services you are seeking. Our prices vary according to the scope of the project. New construction fees are based on a square foot price (and an outline of services provided) or hourly rate – or a combination. When working with a client on an existing home, we review your needs and determine a scope of services; our fee is based on an hourly rate or retail sales less a discount or a combination of both. For furnishings our fee is included in the cost. We want the best for you while being fairly compensated for our efforts.
